Hello and thanks for following me on my journey with photography.
For the past 1 1/2 years, photography has consumed every bit of my life the way cooking did. It has been so long since I did something I truly loved with the desire to make it full time. Cooking was just that for me. I never hated cooking, it never felt like work, instead I loved it. Photography has struck the same cord. When I see a hawk, spot a sunset, talk with my man Stu about photography, think about the what the future holds photography is part of it.
What I didn't realize was the number of opinions on every topic of photography. What camera body to shoot with, what lens to buy, what to photograph, and the equipment needed for it all. Something that is hard to understand when you are limited by a budget, a pandemic, time for capturing photos, and what is the best advice for us the readers. My piece of advice from the start, pick up the camera, and shoot as much as possible. When you cannot go out, shoot around your home, inside, outside, in dark areas, at the spur of a moment. Whatever it takes for you to put the camera in your hand and learn.
What is my goal, I have shared this in IG (follow me @ticophotography) as well. I want to try new things, learn from failing, collaborate, engage with those sharing similar visions, and most of all become an amazing photographer.
With two years under my belt, dabbling in many forms of photography, and wanting more every day, I have set my sites on the next step. It is time to grow, time to reach new people, share new experiences, learn techniques from others, and expand. My blog will share topics of interest to me to include topics shared by my followers. My goal to spend a month on the topic. Where I started, what I learned, where I searched for quality information and the end result.
